An Electric Snow Thrower Is An Excellent Choice For Fast And Easy Snow Removal

The construction and design of snow blowers has been mostly the same over the years. Manufacturers have made innovations in ergonomics and starters, but the introduction of the electric snow blower has probably been the best improvement.
The electric snow blower has a number of important advantages over gas-powered snow throwers.

However, electric snow blowers are not without their faults or limitations compared to the larger and more powerful gas-powered machines:

Electric snow blower can only handle up to about 10” of dry snow.

You can't go long distances because of the limitation of the length of the electric cord.

You have to get used to working with the electric cord so it doesn't get in the way.

The electric cord must be designed for very cold temperatures.

Cannot be used on gravel.

Must be used on smooth surfaces. no self-propel.
If you live in an area of moderate snowfalls up to 10”, then an electric snow thrower is an excellent purchase. If you have deeper snowfalls, they can be handled, but will require additional passes.
If you live in a city that has snow plows, you will have to break up the compacted snow and ice that piles up at the end of your driveway.The electric snow thrower is not going to be powerful enough to handle compacted snow and ice. Hopefully, you won't have to do this very often.
Deck and patios can be difficult to manage with gas-powered machine. It can be difficult to maneuver and the additional weight can be a back-breaker.
This is where the electric snow thrower has the advantage because of its lighter weight. It can be easily lifted onto patios and decks.Electric snow throwers have minimum maintenance.
Gas powered machines need to have oil and gas, tune-ups, end of season treatment, and can occasionally be difficult to start. All you have to do with an electric snowthrower is plug it in and start throwing snow.
At first, you might think that the electric cord will be a problem, but it really isn't. If you can handle a house vacuum cleaner, then you can adapt to the electric cord.
If you're tired of shoveling snow have been putting off making the leap to buy a snowblower, then consider the electric. They don't cost a whole lot, they are light and easy to use, and they are surprisingly powerful.

The pump valves may be stuck closed. If this is the case, you will need to disassemble the fluid pump head and work with the valves to free them up.
Also, there may be a by-pass or a purge built in to the pump system that is for priming the pump to get the air out of it (air-locked).
Kathy, The ignition switch has to be in the on position. When testing a spark plug outside the threaded holes for spark the threads of the spark plug must be grounded to the engine anywhere while you pull the recoil starter.
Don’t accidently touch the body of the spark plug while you’re pulling the rope. You may say a nasty word!
diesel heated pressure washer. I plugged the garden hose to the input, but no water comes out…?
First time I tried it. Bought it second hand. Previous owner said “functions well”. Amazing how sellers can be overly optimistic. So, when i plugged in and opened the garden hose, i heard water running inside the machine. I guess it was filling the heater coil. When I didn’t hear water running any longer, I tried running the electric motor for 5 seconds. No water came out. Didn’t want to run the motor longer for fear of damaging the pump from running it dry. The previous owner recommends following the water conduits, and taking it apart to find and clear the blockage. Any suggestions? I was thinking of running dilute vinegar and water, but the pump manual says not to run acids thru it. What to do? Maybe I need a “descaling”? Any advice, to repair this myself?

THE ENGINE ON MY PRESSURE WASHER WON’T START. FUEL OK. SPARK PLUG REPLACED BUT NOT SURE THERE IS SPARK IN THE CYLINDER WHEN CRANKING. MY QUESTION IS WHEN YOU HAVE THE PLUG UNSCREWED BUT CONNECTED TO THE ELECTRIC SOURCE AND HANGING OUTSIDE THE ENGINE, SHOULD I BE SEEING A SPARK WHEN CRANKING?
