I used a Karcher 1500 psi model to clean a 100 foot driveway heavily soiled from oak leaves for 3 years and it worked great although a bit slow. Also used it to pressure wash a deck, garage and siding with no problems…I’d recommend them for minor jobs.

If your not mechanically inclined, go with an electric one. Gas operated are more maintenence intensive, ie tuneups, oil changing, fuel storage, etc.

The gas operated ones, allow you to take them anywhere, while with an electric, your restricted by the extension cord.

Hot units are best for greasy projects, engines, equipment, etc. Cold works fine for most other projects. Hot will be much more expensive to buy and to maintain. Look at the water flow required to operate your unit. A lot of houses don’t have much water flow and a high flow unit might burn up due to lack of water flow into it.

You bettter grab this one fast… I have the same kind and I paid $180 It works great. but you have to be careful to not go exactly in the crack because it will go up under the shingls or the siding… It works great on the deck too.. After you have done the deck…. and it has dried paint it with a good coating of wood preservative…. good luck Grant M in Pennsylvania

    Electric pressure washers?
I have seen these Husky 1800 psi electric pressure washers at Home depot for about a $100.00 and I was wanting to know if these units are any good. I have read some user reviews on the Internet and have talked to some people about these and I am getting conflicting answers if they are any good. I was thinking about buying one to use around the home. Such as, cleaning the patio, porch, the driveway and so on. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.

COLD electric pressure washers vs. HOT electric pressure washers
Which is better for what duty? Is hot or cold better for vehicles, side walks, vinyl siding, windows, brick buildings/houses, wood, removing paint/stains, etc. And also- what is a good PSI for these sort of things? Thinking between 2000 and 4000? What is best..? Thanks!
Need to add that typically speaking there would be a 1,000 gallon tank of water for this. This is not for you typical house duties with your hose pipe or water facet. Thanks.

Pressure washers? I have an opportunity to purchase an electric one. Are they as good as the gas and oil ones?
It’s a Karcher electric pressure washer. It has 1,600-psi. What does psi stand for? I’ve always been told that if you are going to buy a pressure washer it has to be gas and oil and it is usually over a 100 dollars for a good one. This one is $80.00. Should I buy it?

    Thanks.
I want to use it for cleaning the side of the house and general maintenance of my home: patio, sidewalk, etc. etc…
